Kano has returned with a powerful new short film for his brand-new song, “Trouble”.
Serving as his first single in three years, “Trouble” is a piano-led track which Kano uses to provide thought-provoking lyrics related to his observations of violent crime in the UK. As one of the OGs in the scene, it’s definitely sobering to gain insight into his deepest thoughts on one of society’s most serious current affairs.
Like the song, the video is deep and explores an emotional narrative of a young boy called Nate who falls victim to a violent crime; with the visuals displaying the events which occurred both prior and after the incident.
The short film ends by capturing the celebration of life which tend to occur at wakes as we receive a preview of a massive collaboration between three of east London’s most legendary artists: Kano, Ghetts and D Double E. The performance from the trio at the fictitious wake is full of energy; as D Double E brings his distinct style to the record and KA and Ghetts go back-to-back so effortlessly.
